Historical signs
: one of the most diffused vines on the Italian and largely cultivated territory also to the foreign countries, he/she remains nevertheless the Piedmontese vine for antonomasia.
The first written news is had beginning from the end of the XVIII sec., in how much probably, as Pier De Crescenzi (1495) writes, you/he/she was called with the name of Grisa or Grisola.
It represents one of the vines base in the Piedmontese wine-growing.

Characters Ampelografici: middle leaf, pentagonal, pentalobata - middle cluster, pyramidal, enough compact, winged - middle grape, ellipsoidal with pruinose, thin but leathery peel of intense blue color.
Sensitive plant to moth, acari and to the cicalina; in the very rainy periods, subject to the sour rottenness.

Maturation: in the average

Vigor: good

The wine's characteristics: it draws a wine not tannico but of elevated acidity; fit to the aging, you/he/she can be dry but also agreeable, lock and sparkle.
