CHARDONNEY

 
 

Chardenet, Pinot Blanc à Cramant, Pinot Blanc Chardonnay, Noirien Blanc, Aubain, Arnoison, Petit Chatey, Weiss Elder, Weiss Silber, Weiss Burgunder



Historical signs: native vine of the Borgogna.
Transplanted well not in Italy in times specified, for long time you/he/she has been confused with the white Pinot; only from 1978 you/he/she has been enrolled to the National Catalog of the wine Varieties.
From molecular examinations, you/he/she has been verified that it represents a spontaneous intersection, happened in Carolingian epoch, between Pinot Nero and Gouais Blanc. Considered international vine, it is cultivated all over the world.

Characters Ampelografici: middle leaf, orbicolare - middle cluster, pyramidal, with wing a little pronounced and compact - middle grape with peel of average consistence, tender of gilded yellow color.
Also having a good adaptability, it has a preference for terrestrial clayey-calcareous ventilated and fresh.
And' sensitive to the gilded flavescenza, less to the botrite and the oidio.

Maturation: average-precocious

Vigor: elevated

The wine's characteristics: it draws a fresh and alcoholic wine, elegant that is lent very well to the vinificazione in barrique. From the elegant taste from good results as firm wine but in particolar way as sparkling wine and champagne.
