Historical signs: different vines are listed under this name, even if introduces different characteristics. The same Molon (1906) mentions numerous of it, cultivated in the part center-south of Italy. Nevertheless the Tear, together with the Mangiaguerra, the most ancient vine in Campania is considered.

Characteristic ampelografiche: middle leaf, pentagonal, pentalobata - middle cluster, pyramidal, winged, spargolo - middle grape, spherical with thick peel, consistent and of black-blue color.

Maturation: average

Vigor: elevated

The wine's characteristics: it draws a wine from the color red ruby load, with wine perfumes, slightly aromatic, with pronounced alcolicità and enough tannicos and coolness.
You/he/she is used especially in uvaggi. They sometimes draw some sweet versions and liquorose.
