RIESLING ITALICO

 
 

 

Generality: cultivated vine in Friuli Venezia Julia, Veneto, Trentino Alto-Adige, whose origins are not known; it would seem introduced in Italy in 1800 from Central Europe.

Characteristic ampelografiche: middle leaf, orbicolare, trilobata - small, cylindrical and stumpy cluster, compact, often winged - middle-small grape, round with pruinose, thin but leathery peel of gilded-green yellow color.

Maturation: average

Vigor: average

The wine's characteristics: it slightly draws a wine from the reflexes verdolini, yielded odors and bitterish taste.

It reenters in the DOCs Collio, Friuli Isonzo, Garda Classico, Oltrepò Pavese, Lison-Pramaggiore, Trentino, Tall Adige.
