SAGRANTINO

 
 

Generality: diffused vine in Umbria from ancient times, whose origins, nevertheless, are unknown.

Characters Ampelografici: middle leaf, orbicolare, trilobata - middle cluster, conic-cylindrical, winged, seed-spargolo - middle grape, spheroidal with pruinose peel of black color.

Maturation: late

Vigor: potentially scarce

The wine's characteristics: it draws a wine from the color red intense amaranth, the taste it is harmonic but tannico. Further to a dry wine, it is possible to produce a sweet version with withering of the grape.
